Alli Thompson
(Psychotherapist RP(Q) #20107) Working Counsellor: In Person & Online Sessions

Hi, my name is Alli,

As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I strive to create a warm, caring, and supportive space where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to explore their experiences. I take a collaborative approach to therapy, working alongside children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate life’s challenges and move toward meaningful growth. While my work is deeply person-centered, I draw upon cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and solution-focused techniques to help clients build practical skills, gain clarity, and create sustainable change.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent 20 years as a teacher in both elementary and secondary settings in British Columbia. This experience allowed me to develop a strong understanding of the pressures young people face today—socially, emotionally, and academically—and continues to inform my work with individuals of all ages.

I have experience supporting clients living with anxiety, burnout, depression, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and I am passionate about helping people develop resilience, reconnect with their strengths, and move toward a more grounded and fulfilling life. My goal is to walk alongside each client with compassion and curiosity, honouring their story and supporting them in finding the next steps forward.

When I am not in session, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband, our two children, and our dog. My own self-care includes walking our dog, running, yoga, and curling up with a good book.

I look forward to meeting and getting to know you.
