Working Counsellor - Online Sessions
Hi, I’m Jade.
I offer online individual therapy in English and French to children aged 10 and up, teens, and adults, as well as couples therapy. I support clients experiencing anxiety, stress, family conflict, people-pleasing, difficulties with emotional regulation, and communication or relationship concerns.
My style is calm, genuine, encouraging, and client-led. I believe therapy is your time: you decide what feels important to discuss, what you feel ready to share, and the pace of our work. Depending on your needs, I can offer space for reflection, practical strategies, or more direct feedback.
I bring four years of experience as a language educator in a speech-language pathology clinic, where I work with children aged 1–15, both in person and online. This experience, together with my graduate training in play therapy, helps me create engaging virtual sessions suited to each young person’s age, interests, and communication style. Sessions may include online games and interactive activities to support emotional expression and build coping and communication skills. When appropriate, I also collaborate with caregivers to help reinforce these skills in daily life.
I also work with couples who feel stuck in recurring arguments, have difficulty expressing their needs, or want to feel more connected and understood. Together, we can explore recurring patterns, practise more effective communication, and work toward greater trust and connection. When helpful, I draw on principles from the Gottman Method to support this work.
My work is grounded in person-centred therapy and may draw from cognitive behavioural, solution-focused, psychodynamic, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and play-based approaches. I offer affirming care to 2SLGBTQ+ clients and practise from a culturally responsive and anti-oppressive perspective, recognizing how sexual orientation, gender identity, language, culture, immigration experiences, and family expectations may shape well-being and relationships.
